Sarah - Portrait

A portrait of Sarah, the main character from a book I wrote. Updated her face awhile back after I started noticing some stuff I didn't like. Happy with how this turned out, hope you guys like it/the updated version.

In the story, she's a teenager who lives a simple life in a futuristic city; she feels like an outsider due to the fact that she has no birth records and has amnesia, and her origin is slowly uncovered with the help of her close friends and some magic, meeting strange creatures and fighting monstrous demons along the way. She's a bit of a somber type due to her experiences, but has ways of finding happiness in spite of her struggles thanks to her determination and strong will. The painting here is intended to be how she looks like as an adult in her 20s.

The story began as a scary story/Halloween assignment in my English class in middle school, and I loved it so much that I kept writing until it became a full-blown novel that was self-published thanks to my dad. The universe in that book, as well as those characters and their stories, are the foundation for all my personal art.
